The blue SJAC village was vibrant, visible and voluminous in its presence and certainly had plenty to shout and cheer about during the course of what was one of the hottest days of the year so far.
The troops rallied. Some went in search of safety pins, some volunteered to help out as officials, some team managed and some just did whatever was required to help the team out!
To take part is experience in itself. An opportunity to improve, try out new events and compete knowing that your team benefits from all of your efforts. The number of athletes that were either competing for the first time or doing events for the first time was very high.
The final results are not yet posted. It does however look as if the Quad Kids finished first with 1520 points.
The U13, 15 and 17 team was narrowly beaten into second place by a mere four points. These results will be added to the two previous rounds to give overall positions coming into the last round at Tidworth on 21st July.
What is significant to note that if we had had one or two more people compete in just a couple of events, we would have easily won this round. We will be posting the teams this weekend. If there are any boy or girl athletes that are now available for the final round please email to firstname.lastname@example.org
The finale of the day was made so much more special due to the fact that we won every one of the four relays that we competed in! Rich reward indeed for all the hard work put in at relay practice at the end of every Saturday session.
Congratulations to all and good luck for the final round!
