A new training session for young people aged 5-8 years will take place based at our home, TVAC, from 12:10 - 13:30 on Saturdays.
The objectives for this group of young athletes will be to:
- Acquire fundamental athletic movement skills
- Develop physical literacy; agility, balance, co-ordination, hopping, skipping, throwing, running, jumping
- Have fun engaging with the multiple skills required to run, jump and throw
All at speed.........
We look forward to the continued evolution of Slough Junior AC and to developing the next generation of athletic stars.

Berkshire County Championships 2014
Many congratulations to those athletes who took to the track and field at Bracknell for the county championships on 25th May.
In the U13’s Quadrathlon Max and Luke McGarvie proved how brotherly rivalry can inspire one to new levels as they competed to be top boy in the family - excellent 600m runs by both of them set up the field event nicely as Max came out on top by a couple of points as they finished 12th and 13th respectively overall. Kyle Ferguson also competed strongly throughout the day as he continued to show promise in this his first season outdoors. Hannah Monighan was our only representative in the girls competition finishing 12th overall.
Elliott Thorne continued to impress winning the U15B long jump whilst Ben Harris marked his Berkshire county debut with a win in the U15B triple jump, 3rd in the shot and 5th in the 100m. Nathan Harrison continued to make solid progress in the throwing events in his first year as an U15 athlete.
Louisa Snape continues to face down the plagues of recurrent injury and secured a solid 3rd in the U15G short hurdles. Orla O’Shea competed in both the long and high jump competitions coming 5th in a very competitive high jump competition which saw the winner set a new championship best performance.
Jamie Barnett came within a couple of cm of his own club record coming 3rd in the shot as well as competing in the discus.
Morgan Lake breaks 6,000 points barrier
Former Slough Junior Morgan Lake scored 6,081 points, setting a new personal best, becoming the youngest ever athlete in the UK to amass this points total and went 2nd on the UK All Time Junior Women’s Heptathlon rankings over the weekend at the prestigious Hypo Meeting in Gortiz Austria. En route to achieving this fantastic break through points total she set new personal best performances in the javelin, shot and 200m.
Morgan now sets her sights on either the Commonwealth Games or World Junior Championships later in the summer.
