Our U11 U13 and U15 boys teams each retained their league titles; in addition our U13 boys red team came runners up - a magnificent performance by this talented age group. The stand out performances of the day were from David Dhanraj in the U13 boys standing long jump (2.24m)and standing triple jump (7.42m) and from Taine Whieldon also in the standing long jump (2.38m) which would have secured them both top 3 places in the U15 age category.
Our girls also ran jump and threw well against strong teams from in particular Reading and Team Kennet. In a ding dong afternoon our young and relatively inexperienced U11 team competed strongly with Team Kennet, the overall lead changing almost with each event throughout the afternoon. It all came down to the final relay - a courageous 2nd place in the final league standings for the U11 girls. Our U13 girls were up against very strong Team Kennet and Reading teams and did well to hold on to 3rd place whilst the U15 girls were well clear in 2nd place behind a very experienced Reading team.
Congratulations to everyone who took part over the 3 matches.
