As our governing body, England Athletics recognises and values the commitment made by clubs such as Slough Junior Athletics Club to develop high quality, welcoming environments for young participants.
England Athletics know that giving athletes the option to start and maintain life-long participation in our sport is an essential part of supporting the sporting infrastructure in England. So, in line with this, an essential part of our role in the community is to encourage young people to take up sport and improve their talent and ability.
Slough Junior Athletics Club subscribes strongly to these principles and as recognition of our commitment, we have worked toward, and attained Clubmark status. Our Clubmark Accreditation serves to:

Ensure that core common criteria are applied to ensuring consistent good practice and minimum operating standards are delivered through all club development and accreditation schemes.

Empower parents/carers when choosing a club for their children through recognition of the standards and best practice that can be expected.

Ensure that Clubmark accredited clubs are recognised through a common approach to branding.

Provide a focus around which all organisations involved in sport can come together to support good practice in sports clubs working with children and young people.
