ESAA Cross Country : Saturday 5th March
Congratulations to Adam Day who represented Buckinghamshire at the ESAA National Cross Country Championships on Saturday. He ran a strong race in a very competitive field to come 67th in the Intermediate Boys event.
Congratulations also to Sammy March who ran for Berkshire in the Junior Boys event and came 156th.
WSEH Indoor Open : Sunday 6th March
Jaiquarn Ballah (U17M) continued his strong form in the 60m setting a new PB of 7.13 secs to rank 14th in the U17 Men in the UK.
George Mbofana (U17M) also set a new PB of 7.56 secs in the 60m as did Kyle Ferguson (U15B) 9.11 secs. Well done to each of you.
Congratulations also to Elliott Thorne (U17M) who jumped 7 metres for the first time in the long jump (7.00m) retaining his second place in the UK rankings
South Regional Sportshall U13’s and U15’s : Sunday 6th March
It was another strong day in Sportshall for Berkshire and our SJAC young athletes.
In the U13 Girls Hope Dandjinou flew the flag for the club coming 3rd in both the 2 lap race and the shot (9.32m). The team came 4th overall.
In the U13 Boys Akeem Willis was 7th in the 6 lap race and 12th on the standing triple jump (6.03m); Connor Rapecki 8th in the 4 lap race; Elijah Oladunjoye 2nd in the 2 lap race and 8th in the speed bounce (78); Feranmi Sanni 2nd in the 6 lap race and 4th in the standing long jump (2.28m). The boys also competed very strongly on the relay teams with Berkshire winning each of them (4x1; 4x2 and obstacle relay). The team came 2nd overall, the highest Berkshire finish in the U13 boys for many years.
Angela Rivera was a member of a very young U15 Girls team who came a very strong 4th overall. Angela was 15th in the 4 lap race; 11th= in the speed bounce (78) and 12th in the vertical jump (51).
David Dhanraj and John Oladunjoye were members of the Berkshire U15 Boys team, defending regional and national champions. John was 7th in the 4 lap race; 9th = in speed bounce (74) and 3rd in the standing long jump (2.54m). David drew on his experience from last year as a national champion and it showed. He was 1st in the 2 lap race; 5th in the speed bounce (78) and won the standing triple jump by almost a metre (8.63m) to become the South East Region All Rounder winner. The team won the competition and Berkshire will once again be representing the South East region at the National finals in April

Due to circumstances completely beyond our control the summer term will now start on Saturday 16th April and not Saturday 9th April.

The lists for you to inform us of your availability to compete in the WYAL matches through the summer will be posted again at TVAC this weekend.

Saturday 26th March, Bracknell Young Athletes Meeting. Age Range for U11 to U17. This is held at the John Nike Leisure Centre in Bracknell. Sunday 27th March, Lee Valley Open. Age range U13/U15. Location, Lee Valley Athletics Centre, Edmonton, London, N9. The deadline is Sunday 20th March, or when maximum capacity is reached.
